Orthodontics
Achieve a straighter, healthier smile with orthodontic treatments. Whether you're looking to fix misaligned teeth, correct bite issues, or improve your overall dental appearance, orthodontic care provides a solution for all ages.
How They Work
Orthodontic appliances, like braces or clear aligners, gently move your teeth into their proper positions.
Benefits Overview
Straighten your teeth and improve your smile’s function and appearance.

Types of Traditional Braces We Use
Clear Braces
Clear Braces utilize brackets made of monocrystalline sapphire, which make the braces nearly see-through except for the thin arch wire. Next to the Invisalign System (see below), clear braces are the closest thing to invisible braces.
Metal Braces
Metal Braces are the most economical and traditionally used braces. Metal braces are also ideal for those with more extensive realignment needed. We will advise you if metal braces are required for your treatment.
ClearCorrect® System
The ClearCorrect® system uses a series of clear, custom-fit, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth. Like traditional braces, ClearCorrect® delivers beautiful results—but with the added benefit of being nearly invisible. Because the aligners are made of transparent, smooth plastic, they’re discreet and comfortable to wear. And since they’re removable, you can easily take them out when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
ClearCorrect® works by creating a custom series of aligners, each designed to make slight adjustments to your teeth. You’ll wear each set of aligners for about two weeks before switching to the next in the series. Regular check-ins—typically every four to six weeks—allow us to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments. After your treatment is complete, a clear retainer may be recommended to help maintain your new, aligned smile.

FAQs
Find answers to some common questions about orthodontics.
Orthodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry focused on diagnosing, preventing, and treating dental and facial irregularities, such as misaligned teeth or jaws. Orthodontists use appliances like braces and aligners to correct these issues and improve oral function and appearance.
The duration of orthodontic treatment varies depending on the complexity of the case and the type of treatment. On average, it ranges from 12 to 36 months, though minor adjustments may take as little as six months.
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends an initial orthodontic evaluation by age 7. Early assessments can help identify potential issues and, in some cases, prevent more extensive treatments later. However, orthodontic treatment can be effective at any age.
Orthodontic appliances include traditional metal and clear braces as well as clear aligners like ClearCorrect®, expanders, and retainers. The choice depends on the patient’s needs, preferences, and the orthodontist’s recommendations.
Braces typically do not cause pain, but mild discomfort may occur after adjustments or when first applied. This discomfort usually subsides within a few days and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
